    Salary and Benefits: According to the provincial salary grid (www.stf.sk.ca) plus a benefits package that includes subsidized, furnished housing and a Northern living allowance. Moving assistance may also be available.

    Qualifications:
    • Saskatchewan Professional A Teacher's Certificate (or confirmation of eligibility)
    • Additional coursework in Special/Inclusive Education would be considered an asset
    • Willingness to acquire any Special/Inclusive Ed courses needed is required (through NLSD Sponsorship)
    • Knowledge and experience applying best practices in the areas of instruction, adaptive dimension, differentiation, curriculum, environment and assessment
    • Knowledge of a variety of specific student needs that may include learning disabilities, attentional difficulties, autism, multiple disabilities, cognitive disabilities etc.
    • Knowledge of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit languages, histories, and cultures
    • Demonstrated ability to work well within a team as well as independently

    The successful candidate will:
    • Work within a team to support students with diverse needs in the following ways:
      • Complete referrals
      • Create Inclusion and Intervention Plans (IIPs)
      • Mentor educational assistants
      • Collaborate and consult with student services consultants, specialists, outside agencies, and parents
    • Monitor and participate in programming that addresses students' critical needs
    • Other duties as assigned by the school administration
