Both challenging and rewarding, this position will require you to collaborate with other skilled machinists and toolmakers to deliver high-quality results for our customers.

What You’ll Get To Do

• Blueprint and Schematic Review: Analyze blueprints and schematic drawings to determine machining processes, dimensions, and assembly procedures using your knowledge of tool design, shop mathematics, and machining methodologies.
• Machining Operations: Set up, program, and operate the 3-axis vertical CNC machine (Mori Seiki DURAVERTICAL 5100).
• Verification and Conformance: Check the conformance of machined parts using measuring instruments such as dial indicators, height gauges, micrometres, and gauge blocks to ensure dimensional accuracy, clearances, and alignment.
• CNC Programming and Control Systems: Recognize the functions of the specific controller capabilities program parameters to load, evaluate and run a specific program.
• Post Machining Detailing: After machining, deburr and finish details by filing, tapping, grinding, or scraping.
• Machine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and tools to ensure optimal performance.
  
  
  

What We Are Looking For

• Experience: 5+ years of machining experience.
• Qualifications: Completed apprenticeship and certification as a machinist is an asset.
• Technical Skills:
• Excellent ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Strong safety focus with attention to detail for precise machining
• Knowledge of G-code, M-code, as well as GD&T principles
• Previous experience using a Fanuc controller
• Programming experience with Lemoine
• Familiarity with Flexible Clamping System (FCS) for CNC machines is an asset
• Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Flexibility: Ability to adapt work hours to accommodate customer production timelines when necessary.
• Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
