Overview

The Account Coordinator supports various account teams to ensure the timely, cost effective, quality management of all client projects. This individual is expected

to demonstrate the important characteristics that make us the Veritas brand

Responsibilities

  • Writes contact reports and client memos
  • Ensures media database and contact lists are relevant and up-to-date
  • Develops and maintains work plans and monitors workflows and assignments on all projects
  • Understands the structure of a press release and has exposure to development of press releases, backgrounders, blogs etc.
  • Understands the time tracking system and takes initiative to ensure timely and profitable completion of projects
  • Tracks time and submits timesheets on schedule
  • Proactively communicates any challenges meeting allotted deadlines, budgeted time to managers
  • Understands all agency protocols and processes
  • Monitors analyses and distributes media coverage
  • Effectively interprets online and social media objectives and strategies based on client briefs
  • Conducts intelligence gathering and research for new business targets and clients and makes recommendations
  • Provides tactical support on client program deliverables under the direction of Account Manager or Director
  • Assists in the development of presentations as required
  • Provides logistics support on client events
  • Understands and can use Online Marketing technologies and keeps abreast of best practices and latest developments


Qualifications

  • University degree preferably in PR, Media Relations or related industries
  • Understanding of measurement tools including MR2P
  • Minimum 3 months related experience
  • Conducts research and prepares reports
  • Understanding of the media industry
  • Understanding of the current online media landscape
  • Competent computer and database literacy in Powerpoint, Excel and Word (MAC platform also)
  • Solid communication abilities, including writing and editing
  • Ability to undertake activities with minimal to no direction (work autonomously)
  • Ability to manage a variety of projects at the same time (multi-tasking)
  • Knowledge of the industry, competitive environment and media contacts
