Our client, a well-established organization located in Northeast Calgary, is currently seeking an experienced Accounting Contractor to join their team. The ideal candidate will provide support to the finance department by managing daily accounting operations. This opportunity offers a hybrid work schedule, with in-office presence required on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and the flexibility to work from home on Mondays and Fridays. This is a one-month contract role.

Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To

  • Review &/or Prepare general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, working papers, etc.
  • Assist with accounts payable and receivable processing
  • Step in and run month-end process and close
  • Generate financial statements and management reports
  • Assist with revenue accruals
  • Assist with audits, tax filings, and year-end closing
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records
  • Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders regarding financial matters

Your strengths include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
