Administrative Summer Student – Sarnia

Bayshore is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Administrative Summer Student to join our Sarnia team for the upcoming summer months. As an Administrative Summer Student, you will be responsible for providing support to various departments within the organization, assisting with day-to-day administrative tasks, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.
This position is a part-time contract position, with the opportunity to work additional hours as needed.
Duties And Responsibilities
Reporting Relationship
The Administrative Summer Student reports directly to the Client Service Manager as designated by the Area Director.
Education
Minimum - Secondary School Diploma. Completion of a recognized Program
Experience
Previous administrative and customer service is considered an asset.
Standards of Performance
The Administrative Summer Student must demonstrate ongoing competency in completing all expected duties and responsibilities as detailed in this job description as well as specific goals and objectives that are agreed to.
Performance Review
Performance will be reviewed on an ongoing basis with a formal review at the end of the six-month probationary period and subsequently, on at least an annual basis. Input will be sought from the employee, their Supervisor, employees at the Branch Office and the National Service Centre and in addition, will be based on ongoing client feedback and the extent to which performance meets expectations.

- Assist with data entry, filing, and organizing documents.
- Answer and direct phone calls and emails.
- Support the coordination of meetings and events.
- Assist with preparing reports and presentations.
- Perform general office tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and mailing.
- Collaborate with team members on special projects as needed.
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program related to Business Administration, Office Administration, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous administrative experience is an asset, but not required.
