Cameco is looking for a subject matter expert in IT security to work with a group of talented and dedicated individuals to ensure our global IT systems are secure and controlled. As the Security Architect, you will play a critical role in contributing to the success of the business technology services (BTS) department and their goal to provide technological solutions that maximize business value while minimizing risk.
In this role, you will:
- Provide technical leadership on how to implement IT Security best practices
- Provide technical security expertise to IT projects
- Mentor and develop IT security skills of team members
- Document enterprise security architecture guidance
- Ensure new applications (on-premises and cloud) are securely implemented
- Complete sustainment tasks related to maintaining security posture
- Support and provide guidance during security incidents
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
- Minimum ten years of relevant IT experience in diverse roles
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
- Experience implementing security architecture principles
- Experience in cloud security configuration of cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, Azure)
- Experience in designing compliant security architecture environments
- Proven track record in configuring and maintaining security tools (e.g., SIEM, Antimalware, PAM, SWG, CASB, EDR)

- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
- CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional)
- ISSAP (Information Systems Security Architecture Professional)
- GIAC Security Architect (GDSA)
