Binnie is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our Infrastructure Delivery Group full-time in our Kamloops and Prince George offices, these positions offer a hybrid work environment and relocation support will be considered.

Our Infrastructure Delivery Group manages client projects, including highways, bridge replacements, road rehabilitation, and paving.

You will work with our experienced Project Managers assisting in providing planning, direction, and reporting to meet the specific project needs of our clients. This is an ideal role for a motivated candidate who is looking to develop a career in Project Management. You will gain valuable work experience and knowledge while working closely within a supportive group of staff.

Your Role

  • Managing project documentation and correspondence
  • Attending project meetings, recording, and distributing minutes
  • Assisting with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating resources
  • Serving as the point of contact for clients and advising Project Managers of issues
  • Monitoring project constraints and preparing status updates and estimates
  • Ensuring work meets Binnie’s quality standards and client expectations
  • Performing site reviews
  • Assisting Project Managers with proposals
  • Working closely with Engineers from all other disciplines

What You Bring

  • Minimum of 2 years of previous related work experience in relevant field (Project

Management, Engineering, Civil Construction), or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Previous experience working with Ministry of Transportation & Transit preferred
  • Previous experience working with large multidisciplinary project teams is an asset
  • Completed Degree/Diploma focused in Civil Engineering
  • CAPM or PMP Certification is an asset
  • Registration as an EIT or P.Eng. with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC) or a GradTech with ASTTBC is an asset
  • Valid Driver’s License required
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork skills
  • Proactive and takes action to resolve client issues
