As an important part of The Sims Community team, you will help build community-minded strategies, including direct player engagement, community messaging and content development, community insights, and internal partner management. You will help represent the needs of our community and advocate for ways to delight them across all our work. You will report to the Senior Manager, Community Management for The Sims.
Responsibilities

Responsibilities
Direct Player Engagement:
- You will engage with players on platforms like Discord, Steam, and Reddit
- You will answer questions, bring delight, and brand values to life
- You will work with moderators to ensure healthy interactions and positive sentiment
- You will stay informed of what information can be shared externally
- You will manage content calendars for community communications, and ensure calibration with other teams
- You will post announcements for launches
- You will lead weekly engagements, such as giveaways, contests, and polls
- You will support monthly larger lift events, such as challenges and livestreams
- You will identify moments that may require updated messaging as a response to the community
- You will create messaging that follows the tone of the brand
- You will share back findings, latest trends, and insights from the community with relevant partners.
- You will analyse community data using sentiment analysis tools
- You will help build next steps with the community team
- You will report on the health of the game community at large or specific sub-communities regarding engagement levels and sentiment
- You will collaborate with several departments, and help manage small cohorts of players, e.g. Feedback Councils
- You will create informative, friendly outreach copy
- You will build operational logistics, such as contracts, NDAs, and payment
- You will use the EA Creator Network to facilitate collaborations
- You will keep track of best practices in documentation and identify gaps in existing processes.
- Proficiency with communication strategies for native social media and community discussion platforms and analytics
- Familiar with collaborating with multiple partners in a global environment
- Knowledge of brand communications best practices
- Awareness of industry trends and happenings
- Familiarity with The Sims, game modes, player motivations and needs
- Proficient in writing for diverse, international audiences
- Experience managing interactions with diplomacy and tact; experienced in conflict management
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in Player Engagement, Community Management, Social Media Management, or other related fields
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience with direct interactions with a player community
- High-quality writing skills with global audiences in mind
- Familiar with collaborating in a global environment
- Experience with social listening tools
- Degrees in communication, marketing, or related field
- Project management training, certifications, and experience
- A passionate gamer with ample experience and strong understanding/passion for The Sims franchise
- Existing strong personal network within EA’s communities
- Experience with video, audio, and/or graphic arts production
- Experience on camera/public speaking
- Approach goals with outside-the-box creativity
