Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead, support, and coach your team to create a positive, high-performing, and engaged branch culture.
- Build a workplace that values collaboration, accountability, customer focus, and safety in alignment with company values.
- Champion the Cooper safety culture, ensuring adherence to safety policies and regulations.
- Partner with the People and Culture Team on hiring, onboarding, performance management, and employee development.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Collaborate with the team at your branch and across departments to drive solutions, streamline processes, and support company-wide goals.
- Oversee daily branch operations to ensure efficiency, service consistency, and an exceptional customer experience.
- Oversee inventory and fleet utilization, ensuring optimal stock levels and rental readiness; make strategic recommendations to senior leadership where needed.
- Manage branch financials, including budgets and monthly P&Ls.
- Stay on top of market trends and competitor activity —adjust your game plan when needed to stay competitive.
- Get out there - attend events, network in the industry, and use tools like LinkedIn to grow your connections and promote the brand.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
- At least 5 years of experience in a customer-facing or operational role, plus at least 2 years of experience leading a team.
- Experience in equipment rental, construction, industrial, or closely related industries is a plus.
- A natural leader who can motivate and inspire a team, and create a culture of open communication and respect.
- Leads with honesty, earns trust, and always does the right thing — even when no one’s watching.
- Must be very flexible and able to manage multiple priorities, shifting gears as needed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Great with people — strong communication skills and the ability to build solid relationships across all levels.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, and able to stay professional and calm under pressure.
- Strong business sense, with experience managing budgets, reviewing P&Ls, and planning for growth.
- Confident using tools like Excel and Word; PowerBI knowledge is a bonus.
- Post-secondary education is an asset but is not required.
- Valid driver’s license required and a satisfactory driver’s abstract (no more than 3 demerit points).
- Most importantly: you take pride in your work, lead by example, and bring your best every day!
