As the Bulk Truck Operator, you will be delivering bulk blasting agents to Quarry/Mine Operations in the region. You will complete pre-trip inspections to ensure that truck and delivery equipment is in good operating condition.

What You’ll Do

This is a permanent position based in Fredericton, delivering bulk blasting agents to Quarry/Mine Operations throughout New Brunswick.Strong communication and organizational skills will be necessary for the safe and efficient operation of equipment at each delivery site. This position involves but is not limited to the following tasks:

  • Pre-trip inspection to ensure that truck and delivery equipment is in good operating condition.\
  • Safely drive twin steer 14MT Capacity bulk truck on public and site roads.
  • Ensure that all regulations are understood and followed: (TDG, Explosives Act, Bulk Regulations, WHIMIS)
  • Responsible for accurate inventory of all bulk products
  • Ensure the quality of products delivered through regular calibrations and sampling of products delivered at the job site.
  • Assist in light maintenance to truck and equipment under the supervision of Mechanic or Supervisor
  • Ensuring that company policies, safe work practices, hazard analysis, and standard operating procedures are followed.
  • Periodically assist with some blast site duties under the supervision of the blaster.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experienced driver, Class III minimum with clean abstract
  • Specialized training on equipment operation will be provided
  • Minimum educational requirements: Completion of high school (Grade 12) or experience in the related fields.
  • Must have mechanical inclination with an interest to learn routine maintenance tasks around shop and on mobile equipment.
  • Basic computer skills, operating delivery systems, E-log and computer training.
  • A positive professional and courteous attitude is an asset when dealing with customers.
  • Must be willing to submit for pre-hire Fitness for work examination, including screening for drug and alcohol.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is a requirement.
