Commercial Business Development Manager

The successful candidate will represent the company in Canada and be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships while driving business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategies to expand the commercial motors business in Canada, in line with the company’s growth objectives.
- Identify and engage with potential customers in the food and beverage manufacturing industry and related sectors, establishing long-term partnerships.
- Actively seek out new business opportunities, conducting market research, and staying updated on industry trends and competitor activities.
- Travel extensively to build relationships with key stakeholders, attend industry events, and explore potential markets for commercial motors.
- Lead and build a high-performing sales team dedicated to the commercial motors division, setting sales targets and providing guidance and support to achieve them.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments, including logistics and customer service, to ensure seamless operations and excellent customer experience.
- Represent the company as the primary point of contact for commercial motor solutions, delivering exceptional customer service.
- Maintain a deep understanding of electric motors, power transmission (gearboxes), electronic drives, and related products, staying ahead of market developments and emerging technologies.
- Leverage existing networks and develop new relationships with suppliers to enhance the company’s product offerings and market reach.
- Contribute to the growth and expansion of the commercial motors business through effective market segmentation, lead generation, and business development strategies.
- Previous experience in business development, outside sales, or a related field, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of electric motors, power transmission (gearboxes), or electronic drives, preferably within the pump industry.
- Familiarity with commercial motor applications, including HVAC, food machinery, and garage doors, is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish long-term relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset and a proactive, self-motivated approach to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Leadership abilities to build and manage a successful sales team, providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Willingness to travel extensively, both domestically and internationally, to meet with customers, suppliers, and attend industry events.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills to identify market trends, assess competition, and develop effective business strategies.
- Results-oriented mindset, with the ability to set and achieve ambitious sales targets while delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
