Business Systems Analyst - Data - #196135

We are seeking a detail-oriented and data-driven Business Analyst to join the Data Systems team. This role is focused on supporting enterprise data platforms, enabling advanced reporting, and contributing to data governance and AI initiatives. The ideal candidate is analytical, collaborative, and passionate about turning data into insights that drive smarter business decisions. Responsibilities

· Manage data intake requests from internal stakeholders, ensuring accurate integration of new or updated data into a cloud-based data platform.

· Support and improve DataMarts by gathering business requirements, validating data quality, and assisting with testing, deployment, and daily operations.

· Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and vendors to enhance platform functionality and resolve data-related issues.

· Contribute to data governance activities by helping enforce standards, monitor data quality, and maintain documentation.

· Monitor system performance and platform activity to ensure operational stability and efficient data delivery.

· Analyze data and produce reports or dashboards using tools like SQL, Tableau, and Power BI.

· Support advanced analytics and AI initiatives by preparing datasets and enabling intelligent data solutions.

Qualifications

· 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst, preferably within a data-centric or analytics environment.

· Strong SQL skills, with demonstrated ability to write and optimize complex queries.

· Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Sigma, or SSRS.

· Experience working within Agile teams or contributing to iterative development projects.

· Clear communication skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical stakeholders.

· Understanding of system development life cycles and data lifecycle management.

· Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

· Nice to have: exposure to Python, Streamlit, or scripting languages; background in energy or financial operations; experience with vendor-based or cloud-hosted platforms.
