Atlantic Operations is a wholly owned subsidiary of St Barbara Limited, an ASX listed gold producer and explorer with mining assets in Canada and Australia.

We are currently seeking a Buyer to support our Atlantic Operations. This role is a full time, permanent position, reporting to the Procurement Superintendent and will be based out of our Stellarton or Dartmouth office.

The Opportunity

• Manage inventory levels to support ongoing operational needs.
• Issue RFQs and evaluate pricing prior to purchase order creation.
• Create, update, and process purchase orders, including maintaining ERP (Sage) data accuracy.
• Procure materials (including reagents) and coordinate delivery logistics with site security.
• Source and procure materials across departments, prioritizing operations continuity.
• Track, expedite, and update purchase orders with accurate delivery timelines.
• Handle customs clearance and coordinate with brokers for international shipments.
• Assist in developing purchasing contracts and fixed-price agreements.
  
  

Our Successful Candidate Will Demonstrate The Following

• At least 3 years relevant procurement experience.
• Deep understanding and professional experience with purchasing processes.
• Good experience with enterprise resource planning system functionality.
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines is required.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Undergraduate in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration is desired
• Experience with Sage 300 / inventory modules within an accounting system is desired
• Experience in an industrial environment is desired
• Experience in warehousing and inventory management is desired
• Experience working in a mining environment (specifically gold mining) is desired
