Role description:
We are currently seeking a Civil Technologist for our Markham, Ontario ARCADIS office to assist with our continued project workload. This role provides an opportunity to work in a medium-sized office with ties to the resources and projects of a large international, multi-disciplinary consulting firm. The opportunity will involve work primarily in Municipal Infrastructures, but will include varied and extensive project work in all our Civil Engineering practice areas leading a multi-disciplinary team including water resources, planning, building and landscape architecture.

The salary range for this position is 60,000-80,000. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.

Role accountabilities:
- Providing civil engineering design and technical support municipal infrastructure, including: Civil 3D design, modeling, calculations, quantity take-offs, drawing review, etc.
- Assisting in the preparation of feasibility studies, preliminary design, contract documents, etc.
- Coordinating, working with and assisting fellow project team members
- Undertaking such other tasks required to advance and complete work for municipal projects
- Assign work and oversee the drafting and design output for junior Technologists
- Minimum 6 years experience in a related role
- Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or related field (Ontario College Graduate Certificate preferred)
- Prior work/internship experience at a design or consulting engineering firm or municipal work environment.
- Experience with AutoCAD and MicroStation
