Position Summary

JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the direct supervision of the Shift Manager, Table Games, this position is responsible for providing dealing services to customers while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

Scheduling Requirement: You must have 24/7 availability for this position and must be available to attend all of the upcoming course dates:

Wednesday June 11th 9:30am-6:00pm

Monday June 16th - Thursday June 19th 9:30am-6:00pm

Monday June 23rd - Wednesday June 25th 9:30am-6:00pm

Training will take place on site at Great Canadian Casino Vancouver

Key Accountabilities

  • Deals card games
  • Maintains the security of the table and its float
  • Controls the table in the correct order of play; closes bets at the appropriate time
  • Refers disputes, irregularities or suspicious activities to the Manager
  • Verifies chip refills and credits
  • Tidies workstation and pit area
  • Communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Builds strong working relationships with guests and team members
  • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed

Education And Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
  • Knowledge of Blackjack is an asset
  • Dealers must be proficient in basic math for calculating payouts, collecting bets and ensuring accurate accounting of money and chips
  • Serving it Right Certification
  • Must have 24/7 availability for scheduling
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
  • Other languages an asset

Work Environment Considerations

  • Regular casino environment, standing for long periods of time, dealing cards for long periods of time, and non-traditional work hours
