Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of full-time Cashier (2 Positions) at our Food Store location in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.

Reporting to the Food Store Team Leader, responsibilities for this position include the following:

  • Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach.
  • Provide Legendary Service at all touch points through various communication channels.
  • Perform cashing duties, serve guests, pack groceries, stock, and face shelves, perform general housekeeping duties.
  • Knowledge working understanding of the Point-Of-Sale system (POS), accept payments in cash, credit/debit and provide accurate change when necessary.
  • Maintain a safe and efficient area while adhering to company policies, procedure, and standards in social responsibility and the selling of age restricted items relating to lottery.
  • Keeping workstation tidy, organized, and sanitized.
  • Support and follow Asset Protection and Safety Management systems. policies and procedures.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

  • You have clear, polite, and professional communication with customers and coworkers.
  • You are attentive to detail and have strong cash management skills.
  • You have POS experience and have the ability to work in a fast paced, guest facing environment.
  • You must be able to fulfill physical job requirements, standing for extended periods with some repetitive motions.
  • You have a flexible work schedule including days, weekends, evenings, and holidays.
