As a Certified Instrument Mechanic, your responsibilities will include:

  • Following Canfor’s safe work and lockout procedures to meet the highest safety standards
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with team members and other departments
  • Calibrating, maintaining, and tuning equipment to ensure peak performance
  • Troubleshooting and resolving instrumentation and control system issues as they arise

For this role, we are looking for candidates who:

  • Red seal or Interprovincial TQ
  • Experience in electronic controls, valve repairs and transmission calibrations
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Solid background in heavy industry and construction
  • Knowledge of the pulp and paper industry is an asset, as is an electrical trade background

The hourly rate for this position is: $48.66
