About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to support engineering and project execution activities for one of our clients across Newfoundland and Labrador.
In this role, you will support the planning, execution, and closeout of a variety of infrastructure and civil projects, including building construction and renovation projects, municipal and heavy civil works, and FEED studies. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, consultants, contractors, and operations teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with applicable standards and corporate best practices.
This role is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2026, and an end date of December 31, 2027. Work will be primarily based in St. John's, NL, supporting projects in Churchill Falls, Muskrat Falls, Soldiers Pond, and along the Labrador Island Link corridor, with periodic travel to project sites throughout the province as required.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to project managers on a variety of civil and infrastructure projects
- Support project planning, execution, and closeout activities
- Review tender packages, shop drawings, and contractor submissions
- Prepare tender packages and requests for proposals (RFPs)
- Coordinate and oversee consultants and contractors during project execution
- Review and approve technical documentation, commissioning procedures, and turnover packages
- Support contractor compliance with HSE policies and contractor safety management requirements
- Provide technical input during design development and project execution
- Assist with project closeout and transition of completed assets to operations
- Travel to project sites to provide technical and field support as required
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering and registration with PEGNL as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.)
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
- Experience in building architectural and/or civil design and construction
- Strong knowledge of project execution, contractor oversight, and technical documentation review
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products
- Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and changing work environment
- Position location: St. John's, NL, with travel throughout Newfoundland and Labrador as required
- Valid Canadian driver's license and acceptable driver's abstract required
- Criminal record check required
