About The Role

As part of our Specialty Lines Auto team, you will be responsible for investigating routine and complex Physical Damage claims for Intact Public Entities and Entertainment customers.

This position can be based in any of the following Intact offices across Canada:

Ontario: Ajax/London/Mississauga/Ottawa/Richmond Hill/Toronto (700 University Avenue)

Atlantic: Dartmouth NS/Dieppe NB/St John’s NL

What You’ll Do Here

  • Analyze and interpret insurance policy wording to determine coverage and assess entitlements which are fair and equitable
  • Communicate in a timely and respectful manner with the customer, brokers, claimants, lawyers and other insurers to resolve claims.
  • Ensure all cases are clearly documented and meet any or all legislative requirements
  • Collaborate with our Bodily Injury team on significant losses to mitigate exposure
  • Manage losses and claims on both Intact Public Entities (IPE) & Entertainment accounts

What You Bring To The Table

  • University degree or any combination of training and experience deemed relevant for the role
  • Completed or are working toward a Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation
  • A minimum of 2 years experience adjusting commercial auto claims
  • Experience working with municipalities or emergency vehicles is an asset
  • Ability to handle or oversee moderate to complex claims
  • Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Knowledge of the provincial legislation governing auto insurance
  • Atlantic Provincial Licenses an asset , must be willing to secure Atlantic provincial licenses
  • Bilingual—English and French—both written and verbal (an asset)
