Clinical Exercise Physiologist - #227184

We are hiring for a Casual Clinical Exercise Physiologist at the Shuswap Lake General Hospital in Salmon Arm. Casual means hours are not guaranteed and may vary depending on the needs of the department.

Days of Work: Monday to Friday, days as needed
Shift times/Hours of work: 08:00-16:00

About the role:
The Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP) is responsible for conducting and supervising exercise and mobility sessions for clients requiring activity based treatment interventions. The CEP works under the clinical supervision of a regulated healthcare professional on the team. The CEP reviews care plans and recommends an activation plan. The plan is focused on an individual exercise prescription and mobility care plan for each patient in collaboration with the care team. The CEP assists participants to attain recommended mobility, fitness, and lifestyle goals by providing mobilization support, education and counseling.

Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Human Kinetics, or Exercise Sciences from a recognized program.
Certification as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist with either the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CSEP) or the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).
