Business Manager - E2E
Your role and responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for accelerating the growth of the Process Industries Mining business as the Cluster Sales Manager for North America. You will lead a high-performing sales team to achieve and exceed assigned Mining orders received (OR) and gross margin (GM) targets, with a primary focus on increasing market penetration and capturing a greater share of customer spend. You will drive sales strategy discussions and align on both short- and long-term growth plans.
You will take the lead in early engagement with key decision-makers at end-users, OEMs, and EPCMs across all organizational levels. Your responsibilities will include active prospecting, opportunity development, and deal closure. A deep understanding of return on investment, mining processes, customer organizational structures, operational challenges, and buying behaviors will be essential. Frequent travel to customer sites is expected, with an average of four documented customer meetings per week. You will also take ownership of the Net Promoter Score and the Customer Complaint Resolution Process, ensuring timely and effective follow-up.
You will collaborate closely with market segment and proposal managers to develop strategic pursuit plans and prepare compelling value propositions. Your role will involve reviewing customer specifications, participating in go/no-go decisions, ensuring timely responses, and positioning ABB’s offerings with competitive pricing and ROI justification.
In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining and sharing monthly sales plan updates using Salesforce, while gathering timely feedback on customer budgets and ABB’s market position. You will enhance portfolio visibility by contributing to the creation of application-specific sales collateral, supporting customer presentations, participating in industry events, delivering application training, gathering competitive intelligence, and engaging in social media outreach.
You will also analyze customer needs and competitor offerings using general market intelligence to inform strategy and execution.
