Co-op Student Opportunity - Junior Coordinator for Special Projects (4 and 8 Month Term available)
You As a Co-op Student – Junior Coordinator Will
- Set up and maintenance of the project administration, and documentation.
- Procurement and assistance in costing/estimating
- Scheduling and Quality Control
- Technical Reviews, Constructability and Conflicts, Generating technical submittals.
- Safety and Loss Control Program
- Collaborate and coordinate with multi-discipline teams internally and externally to find solutions to unique problems, and complete project deliverables, including but not limited to business and/or technical writing and preparing materials for presentations.
- Use various software to create visual tools for Estimating, Proposals, and facilitating strategic discussions.
- Work on a wide variety of projects in various stages of progression, such as: design-build, project development, major pursuits, funding and permit applications, proposals, and Indigenous business development to progress them to readiness for construction and/or use.
- Ongoing studies in Civil or Construction Engineering diploma or degree
- Experience with civil construction is an asset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- An understanding of construction processes, especially related to the civil discipline
- Able to multitask and adapt to a fast paced, changing environment
- Organization, Planning, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of working in Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite or M365, AutoCAD, Civil 3D
- Efficient and effective research skills
- Must have valid driver's license
