Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic environment.


• Proficiency in using standard office software and digital communication tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with Indigenous communities or other culturally diverse populations within Canada.


• Knowledge of local social services, community resources, and relevant government programs.


• Training or certification in conflict resolution, facilitation, or community organizing.


• Bilingualism in English and French or other languages commonly spoken in Canadian communities.


• Familiarity with data collection methods and program evaluation techniques.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain trusting relationships with community members, leaders, and partner organizations to identify needs and opportunities for engagement.


• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate community meetings, workshops, and events that encourage participation and dialogue among diverse groups.


• Conduct outreach activities to engage underrepresented or marginalized populations, ensuring inclusivity in all programs and initiatives.


• Collaborate with local agencies and stakeholders to design and implement community development projects that address social, economic, and cultural issues.


• Collect and analyze feedback from community members to evaluate program effectiveness and inform continuous improvement.


• Provide support and resources to individuals and groups to enhance their capacity for self-advocacy and community involvement.


• Prepare reports and documentation to communicate progress, challenges, and outcomes to supervisors and funding bodies.
