We are seeking a highly motivated Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive continuous improvement, value engineering, and operational optimization initiatives across our manufacturing and processing operations. This role is focused on improving throughput, reducing waste, increasing consistency, and delivering measurable operational value across production lines and facility operations.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role for an engineering professional who enjoys working closely with operations teams, solving real production challenges, and implementing practical improvements that directly influence performance, efficiency, and profitability.
The ideal candidate brings a strong continuous improvement mindset with experience in lean manufacturing, operational excellence, process optimization, and data-driven decision-making within a high-throughput and regulated manufacturing environment.
This role will be based at our Delta facility, reporting to the Senior Engineer, with a target start date of July 2026.
Key Responsibilities
Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence

Key Responsibilities
Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing, packaging, processing, and facility operations
- Identify operational inefficiencies, bottlenecks, downtime drivers, and process variability
- Drive improvements in throughput, labor efficiency, material utilization, OEE, yield, and overall line performance
- Apply Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies to optimize operational performance
- Lead root cause analysis investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Partner closely with operators, supervisors, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to implement sustainable solutions
- Support process standardization, SOP development, visual management, and best practice implementation
- Develop and maintain operational dashboards, KPI tracking tools, and performance reporting systems
- Monitor and report improvement initiatives using data-driven analysis and measurable performance metrics
- Identify and execute cost reduction and value improvement opportunities across operations
- Evaluate alternative processes, materials, workflows, and equipment to improve productivity and operational efficiency
- Support waste reduction initiatives related to labor, materials, downtime, utilities, and process losses
- Develop business cases and ROI analyses for operational improvements and capital investments
- Support optimization of equipment utilization and production capacity in a high-throughput processing environment
- Support capital and operational improvement projects from concept through implementation
- Assist with project scoping, planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution activities
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, contractors, vendors, and equipment suppliers
- Support commissioning, integration, validation, and operational handoff of new systems and improvements
- Assist with implementation of automation, packaging, and process optimization projects as needed
- Analyze production, maintenance, and operational data to identify trends, losses, and improvement opportunities
- Translate operational data into actionable recommendations for leadership teams
- Build dashboards and reporting tools to support operational visibility and decision-making
- Support ongoing monitoring of operational KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives
- A degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical, or related discipline preferred)
- 3–7 years of experience in manufacturing, operational excellence, process improvement, or industrial engineering roles
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, continuous improvement, and operational excellence principles
- Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
- Hands-on experience in manufacturing, processing, or industrial production environments
- Experience working in regulated manufacturing and/or GMP/GPP environments is considered an asset
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities
- Proficiency in Excel, dashboards, and data analysis/reporting tools
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
- PMP
- Experience supporting CAPEX or industrial engineering projects
- Exposure to packaging systems, automation, or process equipment
- Experience in high-throughput processing or regulated production environments
- Competitive base salary of $70,000 - $90,000, based on experience and qualifications
- Annual performance bonus opportunity of up to 10%
