Position Summary
Reporting to the Controller, the Cost Analyst provides financial administrative and analytical support to Operations Management; while working closely with Business Performance. The incumbent ensures data integrity of the plant’s operational and financial reporting in accordance with established corporate standards and requirements. In addition, the position works closely with other Cost Analysts to ensure that processes are consistent throughout each location.

Position Summary
Reporting to the Controller, the Cost Analyst provides financial administrative and analytical support to Operations Management; while working closely with Business Performance. In addition, the position works closely with other Cost Analysts to ensure that processes are consistent throughout each location.
Key Accountabilities
- Prepare, review, analyze, reconcile and present: daily, weekly and monthly production reports. This includes costing, inventory, yields, labor, expense reports, etc., in accordance with Plant Management, Company policy, & GAAP.
- Administers new product set-up process, within ERP/complement systems, and within reporting.
- Responsible to assist and support plant management on various initiatives ensuring ongoing analysis and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Support the plant management in the analysis of variances between actual costs occurring at the plant and standard costs, variances related to finished goods, products and raw material.
- Completes Production related journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and month end analysis. Assists with product and raw material counts and audits.
- Maintain BOMS/standard instructions and product costings in ERP system.
- Position provides back up support and relief to the finance team. Other ad hoc projects as assigned.
- A Diploma/Degree in accounting/finance. Pursing an accounting designation (CPA).
- 2 years accounting and cost reconciliation experience in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of financial/operational ERP systems preferably AS400.
- Strong analytical skills and proficient in MS office with intermediate to expert knowledge of excel (Pivot Tables/formulas/linkage).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
