As the Customer attendant reporting to the Yard Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing excellent service to citizens of Calgary. You will also conduct property checks and customer service to the impound lot and its customers. Primary duties include:
- Drive or walk customers to their vehicles to obtain registration, insurance, and personal contents and provide information to customers as required.
- Ensure all legal documentation provided by customers is correct.
- Scan or take pictures of documents with a tablet and print receipts on a point-of-sale hand-held computer.
- Ensure the grounds and property of the Calgary Parking (CP) Impound Lot are visually inspected on a regular basis.
- Perform light maintenance of yard, sweeping, snow removal.
- Verify VINS, Makes, Models, License Plates, Colours of vehicles on Daily and Monthly reports.
- Alternate as Gatekeeper as required.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) and at least 1 year of customer service experience.
- A valid Class 5 Driver's License (or provincial equivalent) with no more than 6 demerit points and no current suspensions or charges.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word and Outlook) is required.
- Ability to type at a speed of 25 words per minute is required.
- Success in this position requires strong verbal and written communication skills and stress tolerance.
- Ability to provide efficient and thorough customer service.
- A security clearance will be conducted.
- Must obtain a City of Calgary operator's permit
- Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications.
