Extrusion - Die Assembler
The Die Assembler is responsible for assembling, inspecting, and preparing extrusion dies for production. This role involves working with the Die Corrector to ensure that all parts are properly assembled to meet quality and production standards. Working closely with the Die Corrector, the Die Assembler plays a key role in ensuring efficient operations and high-quality extrusion output.

The Die Assembler is responsible for assembling, inspecting, and preparing extrusion dies for production. This role involves working with the Die Corrector to ensure that all parts are properly assembled to meet quality and production standards. Working closely with the Die Corrector, the Die Assembler plays a key role in ensuring efficient operations and high-quality extrusion output.
What You Will Do
- Die Assembly: Assemble dies and related components according to specifications, ensuring proper alignment and fit. Follow work orders and technical drawings to accurately prepare dies for extrusion.
- Inspection and Quality Control: Inspect die components for defects, wear, or damage prior to assembly. Verify that completed dies meet quality standards, using precision measuring tools to ensure alignment and dimensional accuracy.
- Tool Preparation and Maintenance: Clean, polish, and lubricate die parts as required to ensure they are production-ready. Perform basic maintenance on dies, including minor repairs or adjustments as needed.
- Record Keeping: Document die assembly processes, including parts used, inspections completed, and any adjustments made. Communicate with team members about any issues or repairs needed.
- Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve issues with die components, such as misalignments or worn parts, to maintain product quality. Collaborate with supervisors and maintenance teams for more complex repairs.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and handle dies and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other Die Shop personnel, Extrusion Operators, and Maintenance Technicians to ensure efficient workflow and meet production schedules.
- Machine Operation: You will be required to operate the Nitriding Furnace, Die Cleaning and Graf machines according to the SOPs.

- Able to work full-time: Four days per week, 10-hour shifts
- 1-2 years of production experience
- Mechanically inclined
- Familiar with LO/TO PPE and safety policies
- Consistently wear prescribed PPE
- Reliable transportation
- Experience using computer software and applications
- Fluent in English
- Able to lift/push/pull/carry up to 35 lbs. repeatedly and stand for the duration of your shift.
- Starting pay: CAD $24.50/hour
