Prodomax Automation Ltd. is currently seeking an Director of Engineering and Operations to join our team.

The Director of Engineering and Operations is responsible for the strategic leadership of the Engineering, Production, and Material Services Departments. This position will report to the Chief Executive Officer.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Engineering, Production and Material Services Departments
  • Provide coaching and mentoring the department managers
    • Set department objectives and monitor ongoing progress and performance
    • Ensure strong communication between teams under leadership to facilitate exchange of information and to implement change and improvements
    • Create and implement best practice engineering and production strategies, policies, processes and procedures to support and improve business performance
    • Operate in accordance with required health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of employees, contractors, and visitors
    • Evaluate challenges faced by the business and act to mitigate risks and develop opportunities
    • Work with Director of PMO to regularly review capacity plan to ensure projects are delivered to agreed cost, quality, and timelines
    • Lead performance management conversations with employees, utilizing open, honest, two-way communication to build trust-based relationships, including monthly one-on-one meetings, to check in on employee’s progress toward achieving objectives, offer support and remove barriers
Job Qualifications

  • Engineering degree or equivalent
  • 10+ years of engineering and automotive manufacturing experience
  • Proven track record of adding value, reducing costs and making business improvements
  • Proven project management and build quality experience
  • Knowledge and technical understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes and techniques.
  • Proficiency and familiarization with various applicable software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, ERP, MS Office 365, etc.)
  • Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to optimize team performance and development
  • Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, and manage key stakeholders and suppliers
  • Strong and confident negotiator with the ability to negotiate at all levels
  • Resilient, self-motivated and able to work well under pressure
  • Continuous improvement mindset – focused on results and performance
  • Proactive - can identify issues before they occur and address them before problems arise
  • Excellent communicator - communicates early and often. Clearly communicates in both in oral and written communications - Is an active listener
  • Organized and deadline driven
  • Confident Team Player - not afraid to make mistakes, asks for help when needed and alternately provides help when needed
