Your New Role
As the Director of Property Management, you will take ownership of a large and growing portfolio of industrial, office, and retail assets. Reporting to the Vice President of Real Estate, you will lead the property operations strategy while managing day-to-day performance through an in-house team of experienced property management staff and one third-party provider. This role is both strategic and hands-on, requiring someone who can drive long-term capital and operational planning while also mentoring their team, improving service delivery, and aligning with broader business goals. You will play a key role in strengthening tenant relationships, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting financial reporting, and implementing modern systems to streamline operations.
What Sets You Apart
You are a seasoned property management professional with at least 7 years' progressive experience (at least 2 of those in a strategic leadership capacity) and have deep experience in commercial real estate with a natural talent for innovative leadership. Industrial asset experience is mandatory, combined with either retail or office (all three would be ideal). You understand how to operationalize capital planning, optimize building performance, and translate executive strategy into real-world execution. You are motivated by challenges and change, bringing strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to motivate teams with diverse personalities and responsibilities. Your ability to manage both up and down enables you to collaborate effectively with executive leadership while keeping your team aligned and accountable. You are comfortable with technology, driven by data, and inspired to introduce new ideas that elevate service quality and operational excellence.
