Director, Technical Delivery & Governance – Planning (Americas)

Department: Professional Services – Planning

Reports to: Senior Director, Professional Services (Enrico Frigeni)

Location: Americas (Remote)

Compensation: $180,000 - $250,000 DOE and Location + Bonus and Equity

About The Role

The Director of Technical Delivery & Governance for Planning leads the post‑sales delivery function for Centric Planning across the Americas. This role owns the governance, quality, and consistency of Planning implementations, ensuring customers receive a predictable, referenceable, and high‑quality delivery experience.

This leader oversees Planning Solution Architects and Technical Architects, defines delivery standards, and drives operational excellence across onboarding, methodology, and team capability. The Director partners closely with cross‑functional teams—including Product, Customer Success, HR, and Global Professional Services—to ensure alignment between delivery execution and Centric’s strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery Governance & Quality Assurance

  • Own and enforce governance for all Planning Professional Services delivery activities.
  • Define, maintain, and evolve implementation policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Ensure consistent delivery methodology across all Planning engagements in the Americas.
  • Serve as the escalation point for delivery risks, customer issues, and implementation deviations.

Program & Implementation Leadership

  • Provide program‑level oversight for Planning implementations, ensuring scope, timelines, and quality standards are met.
  • Guide teams on implementation strategy, risk mitigation, and customer communication.
  • Drive continuous improvement of delivery frameworks, templates, and governance models.

People Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and develop Planning Solution Architects and Technical Architects across North America.
  • Provide coaching, performance feedback, and career development support.
  • Ensure team readiness through onboarding, training, and ongoing capability development.
  • Oversee resource allocation and staffing for Planning projects.

Role Definition & Hiring Governance

  • Define job scopes, competencies, and seniority levels for Planning delivery roles.
  • Review, edit, and approve job descriptions for Solution Architects and Technical Architects.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to set hiring priorities, budget targets, and geographic strategy.
  • Participate in candidate evaluation and final hiring decisions.

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee onboarding for new Planning hires, including orientation, access, and delivery readiness.
  • Manage operational escalations related to start dates, PTO exceptions, and team logistics.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional alignment with HR, Finance, and Global PS leadership.
  • Ensure accurate communication and documentation for new hires and internal announcements.

Customer Success & Outcomes

  • Ensure Planning implementations deliver consistent, referenceable customer outcomes.
  • Partner with Customer Success and Product teams to align delivery with customer needs and product capabilities.
  • Support strategic accounts and complex implementations as needed.

Qualifications

Required

  • 8+ years in Professional Services, Implementation, or Delivery leadership roles.
  • Strong background in program management and enterprise software implementation.
  • Demonstrated experience defining and enforcing delivery governance or methodology.
  • Proven ability to lead technical and functional delivery teams.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision‑making skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with Planning, Supply Chain, or Retail enterprise software.
  • Prior leadership of Solution Architect or Technical Architect teams.
  • Experience scaling delivery operations across multiple regions.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $180,000 – 250,000 + Bonus, Equity and Benefits.   Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location.  The range for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.  Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience and relevant education or training.  Please note that the compensation details listed reflect the base salary and certain positions may be offered with additional variable incentives.
