We are hiring a Dispatcher in Calgary, AB!
Working hours - Several shifts available.
Training hours - 7am to 3pm, or 8am to 4pm.

Reporting to the Dispatch Team Lead, Dispatchers play a crucial role in coordinating and managing the appointment schedule. They are responsible for ensuring the appropriate technician is assigned to each call and are the first point of contact for the technicians in the field. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills to handle last-minute changes and maintain smooth operations.

Responsibilities:
This position will include, but not be limited to the following:
Scheduling and Routing
· Efficiently schedule jobs and route technicians to minimize travel time and maximize productivity.
· Ensure proper allocation of technicians for emergency, routine, and seasonal jobs.
· Minimize idle time for technicians by effectively filling gaps in the schedule.
Customer Communication
· Notify customers of appointment confirmation, changes, or cancellations.
· Provide real time updates on technician arrival times, especially if there are delays.
· Build rapport and trust with customers to create positive experiences and foster loyalty.
Technician Coordination
· Assign jobs to technicians based on skillsets, certifications, and experience to ensure proper handling of tasks.
· Ensure technicians have the necessary tools, equipment, and parts for each job before dispatching.
· Provide updates on schedule changes, emergencies, or customer requests.
Performance Monitoring
· Track the status of jobs, monitor technician performance, and adjust schedules in real time to accommodate emergencies and delays.
· Ensure technicians adhere to scheduled time frames and inform customers of any delays.
Problem Resolution
· Handle any on-the-fly issues, such as rescheduling due to emergencies, resolving customer complaints, or addressing technician challenges.
· Communicate with technicians experiencing delays and assess the impact on other scheduled jobs.
Qualifications:
· 2-3 years of dispatching experience
· Service Titan experience is an asset
· Detail oriented and organization skills
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Experience with HVAC industry or related field is an asset
