Where you fit in

The Distribution Specialist will be responsible for supply and linen distribution, backorder management, LUM practices and recall management, this position may also perform Shipping & Receiving functions with follow up to Purchasing and AP as needed for receipts resolution, knowledgeable in Inventory software and inventory systems management. Individuals in this role may perform additional related duties as needed.

Your Exceptional Skills

  • Responsible for and/or assists in the distribution of supplies and/or linen throughout the hospital by moving, labeling, and putting away supplies and/or linens in the required locations.
  • Able to verify quantities, expiration dates and part numbers on packing slips and other working documents.
  • Assists in the management of manufacture backorder processes for all customers.
  • Maintains consistent monitoring of supply expiration dates.
  • Inspect packaging for defects and damages.
  • Follow company safety guidelines.
  • Keep warehouse clean and organized.
  • Manages recall process for items in par levels.
  • Works with clinical areas for proper storage and handling needs in clean storage areas.
  • Perform receiving functions company policies and procedures; Verify required inbound/outbound documents/labels to ensure merchandise counts are accurate and product is free of damage.
  • Move pkgs from pallets or carts to assigned scan location(s).
  • Responsible for and or assist in the use, safe operation, of mechanical, motorized, and or electrical equipment in the receiving work environment.
  • Efficiently process shipments as part of a work team to ensure customer orders are completed and shipped the day they are ordered. This includes picking product up from storage areas, checking for accuracy and packing for shipment
  • Help maintain and educate clinical staff on our weight-based ordering system as well as maintain computers and scales linked to software.
  • Assist with linen ordering / Daily and help assess standard deliveries and adjust as necessary
  • Demonstrate initiative by seeking to assist others during slow periods. This may include general 5S activities such as sweeping, cleaning, and organizing areas of the distribution center. It also includes restocking picking and overflow locations.

Your Exceptional Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1 year of healthcare related field or equivalent inventory systems experience preferred.
