Our client, a midstream company, is seeking a Drafting Technician to work a 1-year contract in Calgary or Edmonton, AB.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update facility drawings, engineering documents, and vendor equipment information (OEM).
- Assist facility personnel with document search, retrieval, and troubleshooting of archived information.
- Demonstrated experience in piping design and drafting of piping isometrics for project and maintenance work.
- Complete drawing reviews and provide feedback.
- Liaise between the company and external vendors to ensure that drafting and document control processes, procedures, standards, and best practices are followed.
- Provide support for project closeouts (including redlines, drawing as-builts, and turnover).
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or Engineering Design and Drafting Technology.
- 5-10 years of experience in a similar role within an oil and gas facility environment.
- Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD is required.
- Advanced computer skills in MS Excel, MS Office, and Adobe Professional.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Self-starter able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proven ability to perform successfully in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
