DZ Route Delivery Driver (full time)

The Driver is responsible for the safe transportation and delivery of gas cylinders to customers.

What you will enjoy doing*

  • You will be responsible to load and unload cylinders, count and record quantities and styles of product to ensure actual load complies with shipping documents
  • Check and placard vehicle according to Transportation of *Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations is part of your role
  • Follow operating and safety procedures while completing the assigned tasks
  • Further, you will complete shipping orders and related paperwork
  • Additionally, complete trip reports, fuel tickets, and other necessary reports
  • Conduct pre and post trip inspections, noting and explaining defects or deficiencies to supervisor
  • Also, you will identify need for repairs and / or maintenance to vehicles and ensure maintenance or repairs are conducted with minimal disruption to the operation

What makes you great*

  • You have a minimum of two (2) years of AZ / DZ / Class 1 or Class 3 driving experience
  • Your provincial Driver's License is valid, incident-free, and includes air brake endorsement
  • Moreover you are able to manipulate a variety of cylinder sizes and weights as required
  • Knowledgeable in compressed gases and safe handling
  • Your strong mechanical aptitude sets you apart
  • And you are able to lift up to 60 pounds
  • Trained in Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)
