About you
You are a hands-on technician who enjoys building precise electrical assemblies and solving problems at the bench. You take pride in clean cable work, accurate PCB assembly, and careful rework that keeps prototypes and production builds moving forward. You’re detail-oriented, comfortable following technical instructions, and motivated by the opportunity to support a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing team.
What You’ll Do:
- Assemble and rework cables, harnesses, and wire routing for prototype and production systems.
- Build and inspect PCB assemblies, including component placement, soldering, cleanup, and touch-up work.
- Perform cable terminations, connector assembly, and continuity testing to ensure quality and reliability.
- Rework and repair electrical assemblies based on engineering feedback, build notes, and test results.
- Support prototype builds by preparing electrical subassemblies and completing related documentation.
- Use hand tools, soldering equipment, and basic test equipment to verify assemblies and troubleshoot issues.
- Inspect work for quality, accuracy, and conformance to drawings, schematics, and build instructions.
- Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient workspace while following standard procedures.

- Inspect work for quality, accuracy, and conformance to drawings, schematics, and build instructions.
- Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient workspace while following standard procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in electronics, assembly, or a related field is an asset.
- 2+ years of experience in cable assembly, cable rework, PCB assembly, or electro-mechanical assembly.
- Strong soldering skills and familiarity with wiring, connectors, and basic electrical terminology.
- Ability to read and follow assembly instructions, schematics, and basic technical drawings.
- Good hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Familiarity with basic electrical test tools such as multimeters and continuity testers.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn new processes quickly.
- Experience with IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, or other electronics assembly standards.
- Experience with prototype builds in a medical device, biotech, or diagnostics environment.
- Familiarity with crimping tools, cable harness boards, or PCB rework stations.
- Experience with micro-soldering, inspection tools, or test fixture support.
- An appreciation for puns and a steady hand.
