Full Job Description

  • Experience in working with Microsoft Office 365 applications (Microsoft Teams, Planner, Excel, Word, etc.)

  • Ability to collaborate with others including General Contractors, Estimators and Vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in site reviews, prepare project risk assessments, tender reviews, and tender hand-off
  • Accurately calculate/produce material and quantity take-offs from drawings
  • Oversee price packages with suppliers, subcontractors, engineers regarding tenders as required
  • Review specifications and design drawings to determine the total scope of work to be performed, material requirements and associated costs to be included in the final estimate price.
  • Participate in tender closeouts with the closeout team including flexible hours to meet tender deadlines.
  • Maintaining files of working documents to be used as backups for estimate figures as well as maintaining current and accurate information on supplier prices, price lists, unit prices and quantity estimates.
  • Examining and analyzing estimate packages to ensure accuracy and completeness of work pricing

Assets For This Position Would Be

  • Knowledge and experience working with ACCUBID software
  • Electrician's journeyman certification

Summary

As an Estimator, you will be a vital asset in overseeing construction projects from start to finish. With core skills in construction estimating, pricing, you will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs, negotiating contracts, and ensuring projects are completed within budget and on schedule. Your premium skills in Bluebeam and negotiation will be essential in effectively managing project resources and maximizing profitability. Additionally, your proficiency in communication, Microsoft Office suite, and Excel will enable you to collaborate with stakeholders and track project progress efficiently.
