- Role: Journeyperson Electrician (Red Seal preferred)
- Location: Fort St John, BC
- Pre-Employment Condition: Pre-employment D&A test required
- Install and maintain EMT piping systems, electronic heat trace, batteries, voltage regulators, MCC equipment, and VFD’s.
- Ensure proper execution of electrical lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures to maintain safety and regulatory compliance.
- Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
- Assist and/or direct interpreting drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to better help execute electrical installation and troubleshooting.
- Understand and inter-operate the most current Canadian electrical code book and exercise the rules when applicable.
- Understand and execute basic circuit fundamentals, alternating current circuit properties, heating and cooling systems, magnetic control and switching circuits, three phase systems, transformers, machines, control and switching/PLC, fire alarm systems, red seal programs, industry network, and applications of electronics.
- Test electrical equipment and components for current, voltage and OHMS.
- Responsible for all administrative, material ordering, and QAQC documents directly associated with the project at hand.
- Other duties as required.
- Electrical Journeyperson.
- A valid Class 5 license with a clean driver abstract.
- Valid H2S, First Aid, OSSA Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform, CSO, and CSTS.
- Experience in the Oil and Gas industry in construction or maintenance is considered an asset.
- Ability to work in various working conditions ranging from outdoors to indoors in a variety of weather conditions and working from heights as needed.
