Position: Electrician

Location: Sonoco Canada, Paper Mill (Brantford, ON)

Wage: $46.51/hr

Shift: Days (Monday -Friday)

Conducts Electrical Work As Assigned, In Accordance With Sonoco's Preventative Maintenance Program.

All Work Performed Must Be Conducted Adhering To Sonoco's Safety Policies And Applicable Ontario Legislation.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Conduct electrical maintenance, including troubleshooting PLCs, drives, and control systems.
• Perform breakdown maintenance and assist with mechanical repairs as needed.
• Support new mechanical installations, integrations, enhancements, modifications, and start-ups for both production lines and facility equipment.
  
  

Provide immediate assistance during emergency breakdowns to minimize downtime.

• Perform electrical repairs, to ensure smooth operations.
• Accurately document all maintenance activities and work performed in the maintenance CMMS system.
• Carry out preventive maintenance (PM) and predictive diagnostics (PD) as per the maintenance schedule.
• Ensure the maintenance area is organized and complies with 5S standards.
• Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to assist in other areas as needed.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned.
