This Position Reports To

ABB’s Process Automation business area enables customers to operate some of the world’s largest and most complex industrial infrastructures, helping them outrun – leaner and cleaner.

We offer a broad range of automation, electrification and digital solutions for process, hybrid and maritime industries, including industry-specific integrated control and software as well as measurement and analytics solutions and services.

Your Role: Own the Challenge

• Design and develop electronic circuits, including both digital and analog modeling and simulation.
• Select appropriate electronic components.
• Design cables and harnesses.
• Contribute to the writing of design documentation, technical budgets, as well as testing and commissioning documentation.
• Participate in the commissioning and testing of electronic boards.
• Take part in multidisciplinary design reviews and present progress at various project stages.
• Actively participate and collaborate in project planning and estimation tasks.
• Contribute to the application of safety standards (CE, CSA, ATEX), environmental standards (RoHS, WEEE), and electromagnetic compliance standards (CE, FCC).
  
  

What It Takes To Run What Runs The World

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a college diploma (DEC) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology.
• Strong analytical skills and understanding of electronic circuits; skilled in prototyping and commissioning electronic boards.
• Knowledge of the following software is an asset: Altium Designer, Pspice, Matlab.
• Knowledge of the following programming languages is an asset: C, Python, VHDL; good command of both French and English, spoken and written.
