Key Responsibilities
- Build a welcoming, inclusive classroom that prioritizes relationships, student voice, and well-being
- Design and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons grounded in UDL and culturally responsive, evidence-based practices
- Implement targeted supports and differentiated instruction in Literacy and Mathematics
- Use assessment for, as, and of learning to monitor progress and guide next steps
- Communicate regularly with families to strengthen learning and well-being partnerships
- Implement accommodations and modifications that support the success of students with special education needs.
- Engage in reflective practice and ongoing professional learning
- Collaborate with colleagues and community partners to enhance student engagement and success
- Identify and dismantle barriers to equity, ensuring all students’ identities, humanity, and potential are affirmed
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Initiative, creativity, and innovation in designing programs that enhance student learning
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and student well-being
- Effective collaboration with colleagues, students, families, and community partners
- Flexibility in meeting the diverse needs of learners
- Success in creating safe, identity-affirming, and engaging classroom environments
- Proven expertise and teaching experience in the assigned division/subject area

- Ontario Teachers Certificate
- Special Education, an asset
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

- Flexibility in meeting the diverse needs of learners
