Would you like to be part of a stimulating teaching environment located in a city-center campus with a multicultural student body? We invite you to submit your application to our Candidate Pool.

Applying to the Candidate Pool will keep your application on file for six (6) months. We may pre-screen candidates for temporary employment opportunities that arise.

Job description and tasks

In addition to regular teaching responsibilities, the role also includes:

Involvement in pedagogical days organized by the College
Participation in departmental meetings
Involvement in student-focused activities such as field trips, competitions, and year-end Graduate Exhibition.
Performing other department related administrative duties

Required Qualifications
Master's degree in English (or an equivalent Master's degree with a focus on literary and textual analysis plus a BA in English)

• Equivalent Master's degrees may include but are not limited to Creative Writing, Cultural Studies, Film Studies, American Studies, Canadian Studies, Theatre, English and Publishing, Rhetoric and Composition, Ethnic Studies, Literary and Textual Studies, Comparative Literature, Digital Humanities, Literary Translation, or other relevant graduate degrees.

Excellent English communication skills

• Please include a rationale in your cover letter that outlines how your studies, teaching experience, or research prepare you to teach literature in English at the CEGEP level.

Assets

General Knowledge of French
TESL certificate
Teaching experience at the College level
