We are looking for professional, reliable, and customer-focused Enhanced Security Operatives to join our team.

The Enhanced Security Operative is a senior-level security professional responsible for delivering high-risk and complex security services across diverse operational environments on behalf of SSRG (Scarlet Security & Risk Group). The role demands exemplary judgment, unwavering composure under pressure, and the ability to represent SSRG with the utmost professionalism in all circumstances.

Minimum Qualification: Candidates must have at least 15 years of operational Public Safety Experience, including corrections, or service with the Canadian Forces.

Responsibilities

Risk Management & Close Protection

  • Provide close protection services for clients, principals, and designated individuals, ensuring their personal safety across all assigned environments
  • Maintain order and safety within judicial proceedings, delivering professional courtroom security services in accordance with applicable legal and procedural requirements
  • Manage and monitor job-action demonstrations and labour disputes, ensuring the safety of all parties while upholding relevant legal and operational protocol
  • Deliver consistently high standards of customer service to clients, stakeholders, and members of the public, reflecting SSRG's commitment to professional excellence
  • Detect suspicious occurrences, behaviours, or threats and take appropriate preventive or corrective action in a lawful and measured manner
  • Prepare detailed, accurate, and comprehensive incident reports in accordance with SSRG standards and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate with emergency response services and dispatch personnel to facilitate rapid and effective responses to critical incidents
  • Apply proven de-escalation techniques to manage violent or potentially violent encounters, minimizing risk to all parties involved
  • Oversee vehicle movement control and traffic management within operational areas to ensure the safe and orderly flow of people and vehicles
  • Manage uncooperative or non-compliant individuals using appropriate, lawful, and proportionate techniques consistent with training and policy
  • Provide written statements and testimony to law enforcement agencies and judicial bodies as required by operational or legal circumstances
  • Execute vehicle, foot, and static surveillance to monitor targets without compromise.
  • Produce concise surveillance notes and post-operation summaries suitable for intelligence or investigative use

Investigations

  • Gather, analyze, and preserve evidence including photographs, video, statements, digital records, and physical materials in accordance with legal and procedural standards.
  • Interview witnesses and involved parties to obtain statements, clarify timelines, and corroborate investigative findings.
  • Prepare detailed investigative reports that are factual, structured, and suitable for legal, corporate, or insurance use.
  • Support workplace investigations involving misconduct, harassment, theft, policy violations, or internal security concerns.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement, legal counsel, and corporate clients while maintaining confidentiality and professional discretion.
  • Testify in court or administrative hearings when required, presenting evidence clearly and credibly.
  • Maintain compliance with provincial licensing requirements, privacy legislation, and evidence‑handling standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 15 years of operational Public Safety Experience, including corrections, or service with the Canadian Forces, is required.
  • Demonstrated calm and composed demeanour under pressure, with the ability to maintain professional conduct in high-stress and unpredictable situations. 
  • Exceptional ability to de-escalate conflict and effectively manage volatile or dangerous situations using recognized techniques
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage clearly and professionally with diverse individuals and stakeholders. 
  • Proven ability to write clear, complete, and accurate reports suitable for operational, legal, and regulatory purposes
  • Exceptional situational awareness and threat assessment capabilities, with a well-developed ability to identify and evaluate emerging risks
  • Demonstrated discretion and integrity in handling confidential, sensitive, and operationally critical information
  • Proactive security insight and the ability to anticipate, identify, and mitigate risks before they escalate into critical incident
  • Commitment to professional representation of SSRG's standards, values, and brand in all client and public-facing interactions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, for documentation, correspondence, and reporting purposes

Working Conditions

The Enhanced Security Operative role is physically and mentally demanding. Operatives may be required to work variable shift schedules, including evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays, across a range of indoor and outdoor environments.

The role involves regular exposure to high-stress situations, confrontational or volatile individuals, and potentially hazardous conditions. Physical stamina, mental resilience, and sustained alertness are essential requirements of the position.
