Purpose of your Position - Non Union
Classification Summary - Union We are looking for an Environmental Technician II to perform landfill gas management duties at the Glenmore Landfill
Duties - Union

• Oversee monitoring, balancing and tuning LFG wellheads and perimeter wells for regulatory compliance and to meet spec for Fortis Gas Biogas Plant
• Daily operation of flare and landfill gas systems
• Regular Summa Canister landfill gas sampling at Flare Station
• Requisitioning, building, installing, replacing, repairing and maintaining Landfill Gas Wellheads, wellfields and flare components
• Oversee Surface Emissions Monitoring activities and data
• Maintain and coordinate the maintenance of SCADA and Emergency after-hour callout systems
• Managing inspections of the flare
• Review and manage LFG field data, lab results and trends
• Report on landfill gas system and collection efficiency for annual report
• Coordinates and performs leachate recirculation events and manage data

• Environmental Sciences Diploma or a diploma in a related discipline
• Experience with flare and landfill gas systems
• BC Drivers License – Class 5
