This is a two-year contract role based in Surrey, BC, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer. About The Role
As the Finance Project Manager, you will lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of multiple finance and accounting projects that directly impact our strategic goals. Working cross-functionally across departments including HR, IT, and Operations, you will coordinate timelines, manage project resources, and ensure outcomes align with Baptist Housing’s values and vision. You’ll play a critical role in modernizing processes, driving automation initiatives, and supporting regulatory compliance — all within a collaborative and purpose-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Execution
- Lead multiple finance and accounting projects through full life cycles
- Develop detailed project plans, allocate resources, and manage budgets
- Identify risks, resolve issues, and maintain quality standards
- Work closely with finance, HR, IT, and operational teams to define project scope and deliverables
- Facilitate effective communication among internal and external stakeholders
- Support regulatory compliance, internal controls, and audit readiness
- Lead process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency
- Provide leadership and guidance to project teams
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of project management experience with 3+ years focused on finance/accounting
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification strongly preferred
- Advanced knowledge of financial reporting, forecasting, and accounting principles
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Jira, Smartsheet)
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Highly organized, adaptable, and effective under pressure
