If you are a talented and experienced Financial Accountant, Aplin has the right opportunity for you! Our Calgary-based client is looking to fill a nine month contract role.

Responsibilities:

• Provide financial analysis of operating expenses, in particular, employee costs
• Provide reporting on employee costs by region, portfolio, etc.
• Assist with the annual business plan and quarterly forecasts as they relate to employee costs
• Oversee the accounting and processing of payroll related accounts
• Complete bank account reconciliations
• Support the month end close process
• Support payroll and benefit invoice reconciliation process
  
  

Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience in a similar role
• An accounting designation is an asset
• Strong Excel skills – able to manipulate large volume of data using pivot tables and power queries
• Critical thinker with the ability to organize, analyze and reconcile data
• Accuracy and attention to detail
