  • Our hybrid model requires this role to be in office 4 days a week with flexible working hours at our Bathurst/Lakeshore location.*

We are looking for a Financial Analyst to be a key member of our PC Services Finance Team. PC Services is a dynamic division that includes The Mobile Shop, Gift Cards, and PC Insurance. Our team plays a critical role in driving financial efficiency and performance across these businesses. You will be responsible for supporting financial operations through a mix of accounting and financial planning tasks.

What you need:

  • Support month-end and period-end close processes by preparing journal entries and financial reports.
  • Assist in performing balance sheet reconciliations and resolving reconciling items.
  • Manage accruals, accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR) processes, including creating invoices, processing payments, and addressing vendor inquiries.
  • Ensure financial records are accurate, complete, and compliant with accounting policies.
  • Assist in preparing and analyzing daily, weekly, and monthly financial performance reports.
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify key drivers impacting financial results.
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure financial health and operational efficiency.
  • Support process improvements in management and financial reporting to enhance decision-making.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes as needed.

What you bring:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a basic understanding of financial systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various stakeholders.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Previous coop or internship experience in finance or accounting is an asset but not required.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new financial tools and processes.
