Floor Manager - #191056
Germain Hôtels

You bring structure, warmth, and rhythm to every shift.
We’re looking for a Floor Manager to support front-of-house operations at our new restaurant at Le Germain Hotel Toronto Mercer — a vibrant, refined space where service flows seamlessly, and every guest feels at home. With a sharp eye for detail and a deep commitment to hospitality, you ensure the floor runs smoothly, the team stays motivated, and guests leave with memorable experiences.
In this role, the Floor Manager reports to the Restaurant Manager and works in close collaboration with them to uphold standards, elevate service, and bring our shared vision to life. This role’s primary focus is to lead service on the floor across breakfast, room service, brunch, and dinner — supporting the team and ensuring smooth operations in the dining room.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Supervise and support the front-of-house team on the floor, providing real-time feedback, encouragement, and hands-on guidance.
- Greet guests, manage floor plans and reservations, and ensure that every table receives attentive and personalized service.
- Monitor guest feedback and proactively address concerns, creating a culture of care and accountability.
- Help onboard, train, and mentor team members in partnership with the Restaurant Manager.
- Oversee daily floor operations including cash-outs, cleanliness, safety, and adherence to brand and service standards.
- Ensure all service areas are well-organized and presentation-ready at all times.
- Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager to improve systems, maximize efficiency, and support sales and service goals.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- 2+ years’ experience in a restaurant supervisor or assistant manager role, ideally in a high-volume or refined dining environment.
- Post-secondary diploma or certification in hospitality or related field is an asset.
- Strong leadership and floor presence, especially in high-pressure or fast-paced settings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and inspire a team.
- Confidence in handling guest feedback, solving issues quickly, and delivering memorable service.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail, from shift prep to service execution.
- Passion for hospitality and desire to grow with a team-driven restaurant environment.
- Sommelier training or wine knowledge is an asset.

- A work environment that fosters creativity and autonomy - contribute to the growth of a company that strives to move you forward and recognizes you for who you really are.
