Fund Development Coordinator - #231315
Bow Valley Palliative
Behind every meaningful donor relationship is someone who keeps the details, systems, and follow-through beautifully on track.
Bow Valley Palliative is looking for a Fund Development Coordinator to support the fundraising work that makes compassionate, community-based palliative care possible across the Bow Valley.
This is a role for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, warm with people, and proud to be the person who makes sure nothing important falls through the cracks. You will support donor stewardship, donation processing, fundraising administration, database management, grant coordination, and event support.
You do not need to be the loudest person in the room. You do need to be thoughtful, accurate, professional, and comfortable working in a mission-driven environment where the work matters.
What you’ll do
In this role, you will help keep our philanthropy program organized, responsive, and moving forward. Your work will include:
- Acting as a first point of contact for donors, community members, event participants, and partners
- Responding to inquiries with warmth, professionalism, and discretion
- Maintaining accurate donor records in eTapestry
- Preparing donor materials, proposals, gift agreements, stewardship reports, and presentations
- Supporting grant applications and reporting
- Processing donations, including cash, cheques, phone, and drop-in gifts
- Issuing charitable tax receipts accurately and on time
- Supporting fundraising events, including Golf for Hospice and other donor engagement activities
- Generating reports, data exports, and donor information as needed
- Organizing files and documents in SharePoint and eTapestry
- Helping improve systems, processes, and follow-through across fund development
What we want to see on your resume
Please show us the experience and skills you bring that are relevant to this role, including:
- Experience in non-profit administration, fundraising coordination, donor support, office administration, or a related role
- Strong administrative and organizational experience
- Comfort working with databases, spreadsheets, and digital filing systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience handling confidential information responsibly
- Any experience with donor databases such as eTapestry, or similar systems
- Examples of work where accuracy, follow-through, and attention to detail were essential
What we will explore in the interview
We know a resume never tells the whole story. In the interview, we will be interested in learning more about:
- How you build trust and rapport with people, especially in sensitive or emotional situations
- Your judgment, discretion, and ability to treat others with dignity and respect
- How you manage competing priorities without losing important details
- How you respond when there is an error, donor concern, or process breakdown
- How you collaborate with a team while also owning your own work
- Examples of initiative, follow-through, and improving a process or system
- Why this work and this organization matter to you
This role is a great fit if you:
- Care deeply about purpose-driven work
- Take pride in being organized, accurate, and dependable
- Like improving systems and making work easier for others
- Can balance professionalism with warmth
- Communicate clearly, kindly, and confidently
- Understand that donor experience is built through both relationships and details
