Role Description The Graphic Designer – Yellowknife, Full-time Permanent role is responsible for creating visually engaging assets for print, digital, social media, and branding campaigns. Working closely with account managers, writers, and other designers, this role contributes to concept development, layout design, and production-ready artwork for a variety of clients. Day-to-day tasks include developing brand identities, designing logos and marketing materials, preparing files for printers and digital platforms, and ensuring brand consistency across all channels. The position is full time and based in Yellowknife, NT, in a hybrid work arrangement that combines in-office collaboration with some work-from-home flexibility. The Graphic Designer is expected to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and participate in internal reviews and client feedback sessions.
Salary Range $70,000-$85,000 annually
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Graphics and Graphic Design, with a portfolio demonstrating a range of print and digital work.
- Experience in Logo Design and Branding, including developing visual identities and brand guidelines.
- Solid understanding of Typography, including hierarchy, legibility, and type pairing.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, XD or similar).
- Ability to translate strategic and creative briefs into clear, compelling visual concepts.
- Strong attention to detail, time-management skills, and the ability to handle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with openness to feedback and iterative design.
- Post-secondary education in graphic design or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Familiarity with Northern or Indigenous contexts and communities is an asset, as is experience working in an agency setting.
