Responsibilities
- Support full-cycle recruitment activities including posting jobs, screening resumes, scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates
- Assist with onboarding and orientation to help create a welcoming experience for new employees
- Provide administrative support for HR programs, initiatives and employee records
- Coordinate and support newcomer settlement activities, including relocation assistance and community integration support
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures and programs in a professional and helpful manner
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee information and documentation
- Assist with employee engagement initiatives, team events and HR activities
- Support workforce planning, reporting and other HR projects as required
- Collaborate with hiring managers and HR team members to support staffing and operational needs
- Ensure HR processes are completed in accordance with company policies and applicable legislation
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
- Recent graduate or early-career professional looking to grow within Human Resources
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Strong customer service mindset with a collaborative and team-oriented approach
- Previous co-op, internship or customer service experience is considered an asset
